How to write a review after your visit

Step by step through the review form - 9 steps, 6 categories, and tags.

Updated 19.02.2026

Want to share your impressions after a visit? A review takes just a few minutes and helps other creators choose the right space.

When you can write a review

The review option becomes available once your booked session ends. You can find it in two places:

  • In the email you receive after your visit - click the Rate the studio link
  • In the My Bookings tab - a Leave a Review button appears next to the completed booking

You have 14 days from the end of your visit. After that, the option disappears.

What the review form looks like

The form guides you through 9 steps - each on a separate screen, so you can take your time:

  1. Overall rating - your first impression on a 1-5 scale
  2. Equipment - quality of lights, backdrops, stands, and other gear
  3. Cleanliness - room condition, tidiness, hygiene
  4. Accuracy - whether the room matched the photos and listing
  5. Communication - how the studio responded to questions and handled contact
  6. Location - access, parking, surroundings
  7. Value for money - whether the price was fair for what you received
  8. Tags - choose a few short descriptions that match your experience
  9. Text comment - describe in your own words how it went

Before submitting, you will see a summary - you can go back to any step and change your answer.

What happens after submitting

Your review will not appear publicly right away. Booquela uses a double-blind review system - your rating becomes visible only after the studio also submits their opinion (or after 14 days pass). This way, both sides rate independently without influencing each other.

Practical tips

  • Be specific - instead of "it was good," write what exactly you liked (e.g., "excellent Profoto softboxes, clean white 3x6m backdrop")
  • Rate honestly - 5 stars does not have to be the norm. Realistic ratings help other creators
  • Mention context - write what kind of session you did (portrait, product, video), as it helps others assess the studio's suitability for their needs

Jot down a few notes right after your visit while impressions are fresh. This makes writing the review easier even a few days later.
