How to delete your account

How to permanently delete your account - process, grace period, and what happens to your data.

Updated 19.02.2026

Decided to leave the platform? We respect that. Here is how account deletion works and what you should know before taking this step.

Before you delete your account

Before requesting deletion, make sure that:

  • You have no active bookings - pending or confirmed. Cancel them first
  • You have no unsettled payments or pending refunds
  • You have downloaded all necessary payment confirmations - after deletion you will lose access to them

If you manage a studio, you must transfer management to another team member or remove the studio before deleting your account.

Deletion process

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Scroll to the Account Deletion section
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Confirm your decision by entering your password - this prevents accidental deletion
  5. The account will be marked for deletion

Grace period - 14 days to change your mind

After submitting the request, you have 14 days to change your decision. During this time:

  • You can log in normally
  • All data is still accessible
  • You can cancel the deletion at any time

After 14 days, the account will be permanently deleted.

What happens to your data

Deleted:

  • Personal data: first name, last name, email, phone
  • Profile photo
  • Favorite studios list

Anonymized and retained:

  • Reviews - remain on the platform, but the author is displayed as "Deleted user"
  • Booking history - transaction data retained due to tax obligations

Can I come back after deletion?

No. After the grace period, deletion is irreversible. There is no way to recover the account, booking history, or reviews. If you decide to return to Booquela, you must create a new account.

Deleting your account is not the same as logging out. If you just want to "refresh" your account, consider changing your password or profile details instead of deleting.
