How to add extras to your booking

How to add equipment and services to your booking - pricing types, availability, and practical tips.

Updated 19.02.2026

Need extra lighting, a backdrop, or an assistant for your visit? Many studios on Booquela offer paid extras you can add to your booking.

What are extras?

Extras are equipment or services that studios make available for an additional fee. They might include:

  • Additional studio lighting
  • Backdrops (white, grey, coloured)
  • Fog machine
  • Photography assistant
  • Live streaming equipment

Not every studio offers extras - it depends on the equipment and offerings of each space.

How to add extras

  1. On the booking page, after selecting your date and hours, you'll see an Extras section
  2. Browse the list of available options - each has a name, short description, and price
  3. Select the ones you need
  4. The cost of extras will automatically be added to the booking summary

Types of extras pricing

Studios can price extras in different ways:

  • Per hour - e.g., extra lighting at 30 PLN/h. If you book 3 hours, you'll pay 90 PLN
  • Per booking - a flat fee regardless of session length, e.g., a backdrop for 50 PLN
  • Refundable deposit - you pay a deposit that's returned after your visit if the equipment is in good condition

The pricing type is shown next to each extra.

What if an extra is unavailable?

Some extras have limited stock - for example, a studio may have only 2 lighting kits. If all units are booked for your chosen time, the extra won't appear on the list. It's worth booking early, especially if you need specific equipment.

If you're not sure what equipment you need, message the studio before booking. Owners are happy to advise what works best for your project.

Can I add extras after booking?

You select extras during the booking process. If you want to change something after submitting, contact the studio through messaging - they may be able to adjust your order.
