You can send message templates via email, SMS, or both channels simultaneously. Each has its advantages - choose the right one for the situation.
Email - for longer messages
Email is the default communication channel:
- No length limit - ideal for directions, detailed confirmations, studio rules
- Attachments supported - photos, PDFs
- Free - sending emails does not involve additional charges
Email works well for booking confirmations, post-session messages, and review requests.
SMS - for short, urgent messages
SMS arrives faster and is harder to miss:
- 160 character limit - longer messages are split into multiple SMS
- No attachments - text only
- Instant delivery - the client will see the SMS even without internet
- Additional cost - approx. 0.07-0.09 PLN per domestic SMS
SMS is ideal for reminders just before the booking (2 hours before) and urgent information about changes.
How to choose the channel in a template
When creating or editing a template, select:
- Email only - standard choice for most messages
- SMS only - for short reminders (e.g., 2h before session)
- Email + SMS - for the most important messages (e.g., booking confirmation), when you want to be sure the client sees it
Practical recommendations
- Booking confirmation - email (client needs details to keep)
- 24h reminder - email + SMS (maximum effectiveness)
- 2h reminder - SMS (client may not check email right before the booking)
- Post-session / review request - email (not urgent)
- Status change - email (informational)
What if...
- Client does not have a phone number? SMS will not be sent, but the email will go normally.
- SMS is too long? It will be split into multiple SMS. Each one is counted separately in costs.
Use SMS sparingly - for reminders and confirmations. Too many SMS messages can irritate clients. Email is sufficient for most communication.
