If you are answering the same questions for the tenth time (directions, parking, available equipment), message templates will save you a lot of time. You can also set them to send automatically.
When templates are useful
Agata runs two podcast rooms. Before each visit, she sends every client directions and equipment information. Instead of writing it manually every time, she prepared a template that Booquela sends automatically 24 hours before the booking.
How to create a template
- Go to Owner Panel > Message Templates.
- Click New Template.
- Fill in the form:
- Template name - a name visible only to you (e.g., "Directions - Room A")
- Content - message text, you can use variables (see separate article)
- Channel - email, SMS, or both
- Optionally set an auto-send trigger.
- Click Save.
Example templates
Confirmation with directions
"Hi {{client_name}}! We confirm your booking at {{studio_name}} on {{booking_date}}, hours {{booking_hours}}. Room: {{room_name}}. Directions: entrance from Prosta street, second floor, door on the left. Parking under the building - entrance from the side street. See you there!"
Pre-session reminder
"Hi {{client_name}}! A reminder about tomorrow's session at {{room_name}} at {{booking_hours}}. Address: {{studio_address}}. If you have questions, write here. See you!"
Sending a template manually
You can also send templates manually. In a conversation with a client, click the template icon and select the appropriate template from the list. Variables will be automatically filled with booking data.
What if I want to edit a template
Changes to a template only affect future messages. Messages already sent will not be changed.
Start with two templates - booking confirmation and a 24-hour reminder before the booking. These are the two most commonly used templates that immediately save time.
