Got a notification that the studio cancelled your booking? We understand this is frustrating, especially if you already had the visit planned. Here is what you should know and what you can do.
Why the studio may have cancelled
Studios cancel bookings rarely, but sometimes they have no choice:
- Equipment failure or technical issue in the room (e.g., broken flash, air conditioning failure)
- An emergency - flooding, power outage, the only staff member falling ill
- A double booking caused by a calendar error
- The studio suspending its operations
What happens with your money
When a studio cancels your booking, you receive a full refund - automatically, without needing to file a claim. The funds return to the card you paid with within 5-10 business days (depends on your bank). You will receive a refund confirmation by email.
If the payment was in deferred mode and your card has not been charged yet - no amount will be collected.
What you can do
You have several options:
- Book another room - check if the same studio has other rooms available for your time slot, or look for an alternative studio nearby
- Contact the studio - write through the messaging system and ask about the reason for the cancellation. You may be able to reschedule
- Report the issue to Booquela - if you believe the cancellation was unjustified or the studio cancels bookings regularly, contact our support team
Does Booquela act on frequent cancellations?
Yes. Studios that regularly cancel confirmed bookings may receive a warning or be suspended from the platform. Your report helps us maintain service quality - every piece of feedback counts.
The refund is automatic and full. You do not need to take any steps to get your money back - just wait for the transfer to your card.
