What happens if I do not show up

Consequences of not showing up for a visit and how to avoid them.

Updated 19.02.2026

Life can be unpredictable - but if you do not show up for a booked session without cancelling beforehand, there are consequences. It is worth knowing them to avoid unpleasant surprises.

What is a no-show

A no-show is when you do not arrive for your booked session and have not cancelled the booking in advance. The studio marks such a booking as No Show in the system.

What are the consequences

Peter booked a 3-hour session for 450 PLN on Saturday morning. On Friday evening he decided not to go, but he did not cancel the booking. On Saturday the studio waited for him with an empty room. Here is what happened:

  • No refund - Peter paid 450 PLN and will not get it back
  • Booking status changed to "No Show"
  • History - the no-show remains in his account history

The studio lost potential revenue from that room because another client could have booked during that time. This is why the no-show policy is so clear-cut.

How to avoid a no-show

  1. Cancel in advance - if you know you cannot make it, cancel as early as possible. Even cancelling the day before is better than a no-show
  2. Check the date and time - make sure you remembered the right date. The system will send you reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before the booking
  3. Plan your journey - check the route, parking, and travel time ahead of time, not on the morning of the visit
  4. Read messages from the studio - the studio may send important information (address change, temporary issues)

What if I could not come for a valid reason?

If your absence was due to circumstances beyond your control - an emergency, illness, cancelled transport - contact the Booquela support team. Each case is reviewed individually.

Prepare documentation confirming the circumstances (medical certificate, cancelled flight notice, etc.). The sooner you reach out, the easier it will be to resolve the matter.

Cancelling a booking even at the last minute is always better than a no-show. With a cancellation you may receive a partial refund; with a no-show you will not.
