Have a question about a room, want to arrange session details, or need help? Booquela's messaging system lets you contact studios directly - without sharing your private email or phone number.
How it works
Communication with studios happens through conversation threads linked to bookings. When you make a booking (or enquiry), Booquela automatically creates a conversation thread between you and the studio. This keeps all correspondence organised and easy to find.
How to send a message
You have two options:
- From your booking - go to My Bookings, open the booking details, and use the conversation thread
- From the conversations list - go to Messages in the main menu and continue an existing conversation
When it's worth reaching out
Contacting a studio is useful at every stage after making a booking:
- After booking - you want to confirm your arrival time, ask about parking, or mention a larger crew
- Before the visit - you need directions, a door code, or equipment information
- After the visit - you want to say thanks or report an issue
Attachments
You can attach files to messages - photos, PDFs, moodboards. This is useful when you want to show the studio what effect you're aiming for, or send a visit brief.
Response times
Most studios respond within a few hours during business hours. Evenings and weekends may take longer. If it's urgent, mention this in your message.
One well-written message is better than five short ones sent minutes apart. State what you need, when you're planning your visit, and what your questions are - it's easier for studios to respond to complete information at once.
What if the studio doesn't respond?
If you don't get a response within 24 hours, you can send a follow-up message. If a studio consistently doesn't respond, consider booking elsewhere or contacting Booquela support.
Can the studio see my email or phone number?
No - your contact details are not shared with the studio. All communication happens through the platform, which protects your privacy.
