Booquela commission - how settlement works

For each completed booking, Booquela charges a commission. You can find the current commission rate in the owner panel under Finance. VAT is added on top of the commission.

What the commission is calculated on

The commission applies to the room price and paid extras (e.g., additional lighting rental). Refundable deposits are not subject to commission.

Example: A client books a room for 200 PLN and adds lighting for 50 PLN. The commission is calculated on 250 PLN. A 100 PLN deposit is not included.

VAT on commission

The Booquela operator (C0D3 sp. z o.o.) is a Polish VAT payer. The VAT rate depends on the studio's location:

• Studio in Poland - 23% VAT, regardless of whether your studio is an active VAT payer or exempt
• Studio in the EU outside Poland - 0% with reverse charge (you account for VAT in your country)

If you are an active VAT payer, you can deduct VAT from commission invoices. If you are VAT-exempt, the VAT on commission becomes your cost.

What the commission covers

The commission is the only fee on the platform. It covers:

• Payment processing - cards, BLIK, Przelewy24 (Stripe fees are covered by the platform)
• Infrastructure - hosting, security, development of new features
• Marketing - acquiring clients who book your rooms
• Support - customer service and technical assistance

When the commission is charged

The commission is automatically deducted at the time of each payment. Your Stripe balance receives the amount after gross commission deduction (net + VAT). You do not need to pay anything separately.

What happens with refunds

• Full refund - the entire commission (net and VAT) is returned to you
• Partial refund - the commission is reduced proportionally

Commission adjustments are created automatically. If a commission invoice exists for the payment, a correction invoice is also generated.

What if I disagree with the charged commission

Check the transaction details in the financial dashboard. If you see an error, contact us - we will verify the calculations and issue a correction if needed.
