What is Booquela?
Booquela is a booking platform for creative spaces - photography studios, podcast rooms, recording studios, and art workshops. It helps clients find and book the right room, and helps studio owners manage their listings and accept bookings.
Who is the contract party?
Your booking contract is with the studio shown on the room page. Booquela is responsible for the platform, the booking process, and payment handling (including refunds and payment-related complaints).

When you book a room through Booquela:
- The service is provided by the studio - they are responsible for preparing the space, equipment, and on-site conditions
- Booquela provides the platform - the search engine, calendar, payment system, and communication between client and studio
- You can find the service provider's details (company name, tax ID, address) on each room page in the "Company" section
Studios on Booquela operate as professional businesses. This means EU consumer protection laws apply to every booking.
How does payment work?
- You pay for the booking through Booquela (card, BLIK, or online transfer)
- Payment is processed by Stripe - a certified payment operator. Booquela does not have access to your full card number; you enter your details in Stripe's secure form
- Funds are transferred to the studio after deducting the platform commission
- You receive a confirmation email with booking details
Right of withdrawal (14 days)

Complaints - two channels
Service complaint
Complaints about the room, equipment, or on-site conditions should be directed to the studio - use the messaging feature on the platform. The studio is responsible for delivering the service as described.
Payment complaint
Complaints about card charges, refunds, or payment errors should be directed to Booquela at [email protected]. Booquela handles the payment process and is responsible for refunds and payment-related complaints.
If you cannot resolve the issue directly with the studio, you can escalate the problem to Booquela through the contact form.
Refundable Deposit and Damage Disputes
Some studios require a refundable deposit for equipment. The deposit is collected on behalf of the studio and returned by the studio after the session.
If the studio reports damage
- The studio files a damage report through the platform, attaching evidence (photos, description, cost estimate).
- You receive an email with a proposed deduction from your deposit.
- You review the evidence and have a specified time to respond.
- Accept the proposal - the deduction is processed on behalf of the studio.
- Reject the proposal - the studio may submit the case for mediation by Booquela.
Booquela's role in damage disputes
Booquela is not a party to the damage dispute and does not make unilateral decisions. It provides:
- Tools for documenting damage and exchanging evidence
- A communication channel between client and studio
- Mediation if the parties cannot reach an agreement
Your deposit will not be charged without your explicit consent.
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
If your complaint has not been resolved satisfactorily, you have the right to out-of-court consumer dispute resolution. The competent body is the relevant Provincial Trade Inspection (Wojewodzki Inspektor Inspekcji Handlowej, WIIH). A list of inspectorates is available at UOKiK.
Reviews and ratings
After each visit, you can rate the studio. Reviews on Booquela:
- Verification mechanism: you can only leave a review from an account that has a booking with "completed" status
- Cover 6 categories (overall rating, punctuality, tidiness, communication, and more)
- Cannot be deleted or edited by the studio
After each completed visit, you will receive an email inviting you to leave a review. You can submit a review within 30 days.
Content on the platform
Room descriptions, photos, and pricing are provided by studios. Booquela may remove or correct listings after receiving violation reports or verifying inaccuracies.
If you believe content on the platform violates the law or terms of service, you can report it through the contact form.
