You've chosen a room and a time slot - now it's time to pay. Here's what happens step by step, from cart to confirmation.
Payment process
- Choose a room and hours - the price is calculated automatically based on the studio's pricing. If the studio applies surcharges (e.g., weekend rates), you'll see them right away.
- Review the summary - on the checkout page you'll see a cost breakdown: room price, any extras, and the Booquela service fee.
- Select your payment method - card, BLIK, or Przelewy24.
- Confirm the payment - enter your details in Stripe's secure form and approve.
After a successful payment, you'll receive a confirmation email with the date, hours, studio address, and all the details.
Three payment policies
Each studio chooses when they want to charge:
| Policy | What happens |
|---|---|
| Upfront | You pay the full amount immediately when booking |
| Deposit | Part of the amount now, the rest automatically 6 days before the booking |
| Deferred | Card saved, charged 6 days before the booking |
You'll see the payment policy on the checkout page before you confirm your booking.
Time to pay
After reaching checkout, you have limited time to complete the payment (usually 30 minutes). If you don't finish in time, the booking will expire and the slot will be released for others. You can book again if the hours are still available.
What if the studio requires approval?
Some studios manually approve bookings instead of confirming them automatically. In that case:
- With the "upfront" policy - your card is charged immediately. If the studio declines the booking, you get a full refund
- With the "deferred" policy - your card isn't charged until the booking is approved
Booquela does not store your card details. All payments are processed by Stripe - a PCI DSS certified processor. You enter card details only in Stripe's own form.
