Which booking mode to choose for your studio? It depends on how much control you want and how quickly you want clients to book.

Instant booking

The client books, pays, and it's done - the booking is confirmed immediately. You don't need to approve anything.

Who it's good for:

  • Studios with high traffic where you can't manually approve every booking
  • When you have standard rooms that suit any client
  • When you want maximum conversion - the client books impulsively without waiting

What to keep in mind:

  • You don't get a chance to verify the client before the booking
  • Someone you wouldn't want to serve might book

Request-to-book

The client submits a booking request, you review it, and decide. Payment is only charged after your approval.

Who it's good for:

  • New studios that want to get to know their clients
  • Rooms with expensive equipment where verification matters
  • When you run a specialized studio (e.g., recording) and want to make sure the client knows what they need

What to keep in mind:

  • You need to respond quickly - the client is waiting for a decision
  • Some clients may get discouraged by waiting and book elsewhere

How to change the mode

  1. Go to Owner Panel -> Studio -> Edit.
  2. In the Booking Policy section, select the mode.
  3. Save changes.

The change takes effect immediately and applies to new bookings. Existing bookings keep their current status.

Can I have different modes for different rooms?

Currently, the booking policy is set at the studio level and applies to all rooms. If you need different modes for different rooms, you could consider creating separate studios for rooms with different needs.

Start with "request-to-book" to get to know your clients and their needs. When you see that you approve almost every request - switch to "instant" and save time.
