How to secure your account

Imagine someone logging into your account and booking a studio at your expense. Or changing your email address and taking over your account. Sounds unpleasant? A few simple steps make such a scenario virtually impossible.

Password - the foundation of security

A good password is the first and most important safeguard.

• Use at least 8 characters - the longer, the better
• Combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
• Do not reuse passwords from other sites. If one leaks from another service, your Booquela account is at risk too
• Avoid obvious combinations: birthdays, family names, "qwerty123"

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Booquela allows you to enable 2FA. Once activated, you need a one-time code from an app (e.g., Google Authenticator) in addition to your password. Even if someone learns your password, they cannot log in without access to your phone.

You can enable 2FA in Profile -> Security.

Safe login practices

• Only log in through the official Booquela website - check that the browser address starts with https://booquela.com or https://booquela.pl
• On public computers (library, cafe), always log out when done
• Avoid logging in through open, unsecured Wi-Fi networks
• Never share your login credentials with anyone

What to do if you suspect unauthorized access

1. Change your password immediately in Profile -> Security
2. Check whether your email address has been changed
3. Review your booking history - look for bookings you did not make
4. Email us at [email protected] - we will block suspicious activity
