How to add equipment and amenities

How to add equipment from the catalog, assign to rooms, and describe well.

Updated 19.02.2026

When booking a room, clients want to know exactly what they'll find there. A well-completed amenities list helps them decide and reduces pre-booking questions.

Adding from the catalog

Booquela has a ready catalog of the most common amenities in creative spaces:

  1. Go to Owner Panel -> Equipment.
  2. Browse the catalog divided into categories (e.g., lighting, audio, backdrops, comfort).
  3. Check the amenities you offer in your studio.
  4. Click Save.

The catalog includes: WiFi, air conditioning, studio lighting, photography backdrops, sound system, microphones, greenscreen, changing room, kitchen, parking, and more.

Assigning to rooms

Amenities can be assigned in two ways:

  • To the entire studio - e.g., WiFi, parking, changing room (available in all rooms)
  • To a specific room - e.g., cyclorama (available only in one room)

On the room page, clients will see amenities assigned both to the room and to the entire studio.

Best practices

Anna runs a podcast studio with two rooms. One has a professional mixer and dynamic microphones, the other has condenser microphones and a teleprompter screen. Instead of writing "audio equipment" for both, Anna added specific gear per room. Clients immediately know which room fits their needs.

  • Be specific - instead of "lighting", write "3x Godox SL-60W" or "LED studio lighting"
  • Don't skip the obvious - WiFi, AC, restroom - clients look for these
  • Keep the list updated - got new equipment? Update your amenities

Well-described amenities aren't just information for clients - they're also a search filter element. The more amenities you check, the more often your room will appear in filtered results.

Common questions

Can I add a custom amenity that's not in the catalog?

Yes. If you can't find a matching item, add your own amenity with a name and description.

Do amenities affect search ranking?

Yes - clients can filter search results by amenities. A room without checked amenities won't appear in filtered results.
